UTPLinks Power Over Ethernet Card - For Use with CX452

The POE48 series 4 channel PoE crossover and power insertion card is designed for use with the CX254 and the CX452 modular card cage (purchase separately).

The POE48 crossover and power insertion card is a unique component of the UTPLinks system. The POE48 card can provide power for up to four PoE cameras. The POE48 also provides the means to connect the four IP cameras to a network device; i.e. hub, switch, etc. Up to five POE48 cards may be plugged into a CX254 or the CX452 chassis to power a total of twenty cameras, or any combination of. In this way the UTPLinks system may be used to power and crossover both IP and standard analog cameras in the same structured cabling network. The CX254 and the CX452 are 1 RU card cages (purchase separately).

Wire and Cable Recommendations

On horizontal runs with fixed IP cameras applications up to 4 watts/port, Cat 5 or better; For IP camera applications up to 6 watts/port, Cat 5 24 AWG or better is recommended. Multi-pair cable with an overall shield is acceptable. While signals may be routed through 66 blocks or 110 blocks, any bridge-taps, also called T-taps and any resistive, capacitive or inductive devices MUST BE removed from the pair.
